Police investigate YouTube active shooterPolice investigate YouTube active shooterPolice have confirmed Tuesday afternoon that they were responding to an active shooter situation at the YouTube headquarters inSan Bruno, Calif.From 1982 to February of this year, there have been a reported 173 fatalities and 116 injured as a result of workplace shootings in the U.S. A 1986 U.S.Postal shooting in Edmond, Oklahoma claimed the lives of 14 people and injured six others, and in 2015, Syed Rizwan Farook and Tashfeen Malik killed 14 people and injured 21 others in San Bernardino, Calif.Recently, YouTube announced that starting in April they were banning all content that promoted gun ausverkauf as well as accessories, in addition to videos that showed how to alter guns to make them deadlier.Authorities confirmed that at leastthree people were injured by a female shooter, who died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.Early reports say that police could be seen placing evidence markers on the gro unds of an outdoor cafe, near where witnesses reportedly heard gunfire.Employees began tweeting about a possible shooting early in the afternoon. Product managerVadim Lavrusik said he heard shots and was locked in a room with coworkers before later posting that he was safely evacuated from the building.Other social media posts showed officers at the scene of the YouTube headquarters and employees being evacuated from a buildingwith their hands in the air.
